Mr Edwards

Neil Edwards is a D&AD award winning graphic designer, paste up artist and printmaker. He studied at St. Martins School of Art and The Royal College of Art before becoming Art Editor at i-D magazine and setting up the influential design studio ‘Nice’.

A bit too late in life he decided he wanted to have more fun and now creates limited edition screen prints.

He combines his background in graphic design with collage, stencil and printmaking to make bold iconic pop imagery which show his underlying wit and irreverence. Using his vast collection of printed ephemera from the 1940’s - 1980’s as source material, he takes images and type out of context and combines them to create new meanings that neither he nor the viewer understands. His paste ups and stickers are seen all over the world.

He is currently based in Sydney. Human emotion and form with a sense of simplicity, to express something complex in as few words as possible."
